Week #11 Participation Post Make-up:
1. I am the product designer
2. Last week my group member set up the website, picked a theme, and added in text.
3. Today we worked editing the site, installed the stripe payment plug-in, made the website secure, and added product pages.
4. There are still some more products to be added and descriptions of them to be added.

The members of our group are Ryan Bowens, Leslie Perez, Caitlyn Sprague, and Olivia Wong. Ryan and Leslie are the backend engineer which consists of adjusting the settings in the website, adding the SMNT function, and adding the stripe payments. Olivia is the website designer which will focus on designing the landing page, the shop pages, and the product pages. Caitlyn is the product designer which is creating the designs and information for the products and adding them to WooCommerce. The website has already been laid out, the text information has been changed, and some images have been put into place. We need to finish adding our products, our product pages, and a few changes to the layout of pages on the website. We have created a group chat and will get together on Friday (12/1) to work.

In todays class we continued working on our trailers and websites. My trailer and website were already pretty much finished from last week. It's cool that we are able to develop these websites for our game.

Today's class was primarily focused on learning how to create a trailer for our virtual reality game. Personally I did not think this was very useful class, but this is because I am not a huge fan of AI to begin with. Although it is interesting to see how far it can go. We first used an AI image generator to generate images that would replicate what we want our game to look like, we then used another AI generator to turn these images into short video clips, and we then proceeded to bring these into canva to begin creating a game trailer. While this is kind of interesting to see what AI can be used for it is not something I personally find myself using in the future.

(Class Participation make up week 6)
This class felt focused again on Unity and how to continue to understand and use the program. This will be useful information for the future when we build our VR games. While I still find Unity to be a challenging program I believe it is something that can be learned over time and with more experience.

-Wordpress is the base website that we use to build our websites on and Divi Theme is the templates that we can use.
-I selected the themes about horses. I picked it because I liked the layout of the images and the way that the home page flowed.
-The target audience for my website/vr game is young adults but it is meant to be played by both children and adults.
-The sections I have at the moment are the homepage, the description, the audience it's for, and the general information (like what headset to use and how much it costs).
-I would like to add more pages and finish changing all the photos.

Today in class we did a quick review of Unity. We then downloaded Gaia and learned that it is used to generate environments. After importing Gaia into Unity we then learned how to create our own scenes by using Gaia. We then proceeded to learn how to edit the Gaia scenes, for example changing the height and width. We then were able to choose and import other non-Gaia scenes. Lastly we went over how to import portals, connect them, and use them.

In today’s class we began working with the Unity engine. We learned the basic layout of the Unity Editor and what certain sections of it are used for. We also learned how to find, download, and import assets. I found it interesting to explore a bit within the program, even without knowing what everything does it was helpful to look around. From there we went to the Photon website and learned how to set up an app/server. We then put this app/server into Unity.

In today's class we began learning about cloud services and how servers work. For example a company would have their own server in their building instead of keeping all their information on a larger company's server, like Google. This way their information is secure on their own server and keeps the information private and not accessible on the web. We then went over the use of CPanel and the different tools in it (email, files, databases, etc.). We then continued to go through the process of creating our own database and AR website.

Today in class we focused on AR and how it is used in everyday life. For example on social media through the use of filters or how it is used in gaming like Pokémon GO. We then created a poster and worked with a website called ScanIt and PlaceIt to bring that poster into AR, from here we could add interactable elements such as videos and images. We then worked with AR 3D models and made interactable buttons that would hide and display different 3D objects.

Today in class, I learned the differences between AR and VR. I also was shown some different examples of headsets, how they are used, and why they would be used (entertainment, healthcare, engineering, etc.).
